Repair services Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to all electronic device repairs, micro-soldering, diagnostic assessments, data recovery, pre-owned
device sales and technical support provided by V CASES Pty ltd (trading as V CASES, ABN: 43601661036).
Please read these terms before authorizing an assessment or repair. They apply together with your approved quote or
repair booking. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Independent third-party repairer
V Cases is an independent third-party repair business. We are not an Apple Authorised Service Provider and
are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Apple Inc.
Our repairs are not provided under Apple’s warranty or AppleCare. Our repair warranty is provided by V Cases, not
Apple. Independent repair may affect a manufacturer’s warranty; Australian Consumer Law rights are not automatically
removed.
2. Replacement parts and repair limitations
Parts must not be assumed to be genuine manufacturer parts unless expressly described as such. Depending on the
device and part used, repairs may result in parts-verification messages or limitations affecting features such as battery-
health reporting or “Unknown Part”. Liquid damage, corrosion and previous repairs can affect repair outcomes and
long-term reliability. Repairing an identified fault does not guarantee that unrelated or developing faults will not arise.
3. Diagnostic fees, quote and cancellation
The standard diagnostic fee is $50 upfront including GST across devices and board-level assessments, agreed
before assessment. It covers diagnostic labour and relevant testing and is fully credited to a completed repair. Once
assessment is performed, it is non-refundable if the device is unrepairable or you decline repair, subject to statutory
remedies. Written diagnostic quotes are valid for 14 calendar days from notification. Cancellation after repair starts may
incur up to $50 for reasonable work incurred, without double charging. Further costs require prior agreement. Change-
of-mind refunds do not apply to correctly completed, authorised work. This does not affect your rights where goods or
services fail to meet consumer guarantees.
4. Data and settings
Repairing your device may result in the loss of user-generated data or changes to device settings. This may include
photos, contacts, messages, applications and other stored information. Please back up important data before
submitting your device. If a backup is not possible, notify us before work begins. We will exercise due care and skill,
but can not guarantee that data will be preserved or recovered.
5. V Cases repair warranty
Our repair warranty covers defects in supplied parts and workmanship for :
– 90 days from collection for standard repairs.
– 30 days from collection for the specific work on liquid-damaged devices.
This warranty applies to the repaired fault and parts supplied. It does not cover unrelated faults, normal wear and tear,
or faults caused by subsequent impact, liquid exposure, misuse or another party’s work. For a claim, contact us with
the device, fault details and reasonable proof of repair. We will assess the fault and rectify defects covered by our
warranty at no charge. Where required under the Australian Consumer Law, we will provide an appropriate
replacement, refund or other remedy.
The Warranty is Void:
– If any other party attempts repair on the device or V Cases warranty sticker is not attached or damaged.
– If the device has been physically/ liquid damaged after repairs.
6. Payment and collection
Payment of authorised charges is due on collection. Please collect your device within 30 days of being notified that it is
ready, or contact us to arrange an alternative. Uncollected devices will be handled in accordance with applicable
Victorian law, including any required notices and waiting periods. Any uncollected equipment will be surrendered and
disposed or sold subject to the Disposal of Uncollected Goods.
